If you missed the previous steps, check them out before diving in.

We stay safely nestled in our comfort zones, doing tasks we are average at, because it just feels safer.

It sounds counterintuitive, doesn’t it? Why would we choose that instead of discovering and living our own brilliance?

Yet, as an Energy Intuitive Strategist, I see this hidden barrier constantly. Many people freeze when it comes to identifying their true talents because of a profound, subconscious phenomenon.

Your inner watchdog is keeping you safely nestled in your comfort zone.

I'm on guard here

Your mind has one mission: to keep you safe. In the mind's eyes, "safe" means unchanged. It wants you to avoid new situations, choices, and actions which your mind interprets as unknown - and therefore a possible danger.

This happens even when "safe" means living out others' expectations of who you should be, or staying in circumstances you want to get rid of.

The trap of the overcomplicated mind

Our minds have a bad habit of making things unnecessarily complicated. And that's why it is important to realize that things are actually quite simple. We are trained to philosophize, theorize, doubt, and overthink. Our minds constantly demand explanations and proof instead of trusting and believing.

This training starts in childhood: we are told what we can or cannot do, who we can or cannot be. As we grow up, this problem grows along, and we lose connection to who we really are. Our mind has stored the rules and expectations of others.

It’s so important to recognize that when you are lacking trust, you have made the situation or issue complicated in your mind. Know and understand that you are 100 % capable of achieving extraordinary things. Don’t overcomplicate it.

We all have the power to create whatever we want into our lives. You just need to know how you are built to make "the impossible" possible: your own individual tool kit. That's really all it takes.

How your brain shapes your reality

Mindsets are quite literally the "settings" of the mind.  They are the lenses through which we interpret the world. They color and shape our reality by changing what we pay attention to. They change how we feel about the world and ourselves, and they change what we are motivated to do.

The moment you think of doing something differently, your brain instantly tries to make sense of it by asking: What is this situation like? What does it resemble from my past? What did I do about it then?

The brain anticipates the planned experience based on the past experiences. This is where the feelings of, for example, fear, shame, or guilt stem from.

When presented with something new, your brain automatically searches its archives, forming thousands of guesses to try to figure out what is going on. It tries to match the new experience to old templates.

So, your brain is always using past experiences to shape your perception of yourself and your future potential.

If we automatically perceive everything through old experiences, how do we create a new reality? The next time it makes a guess, it has a new, upgraded reference point to project from.

The circuit breaks when the brain receives brand-new information. By experiencing something new, the brain gains a fresh template it never had before. So, the next time your brain goes to make a guess, this new template becomes an upgraded reference point it can choose to project from. That's how we can start changing this pattern.

One of the greatest powers as humans we have is the ability to recognize and change these mindsets. We can challenge our thoughts, face our fears, and most importantly, change how we talk to ourselves. Words are powerful! Acknowledge your inner dialogue, and gently catch yourself when your words are not serving you.

A good lie can become the truth!

What you say to yourself matters. When we shift our attitude and mindset, making new choices and taking new action becomes much easier.

The truth is even not the point. We need to remind ourselves of who we really are even if it in that moment feels like a lie, so that it can become our truth and our reality.

Knowing your inherent talents is a great way to upgrade your self-talk. We just cannot see ourselves in the same old way anymore! You cannot fail at being who you are naturally coded to be.
